Facebook User “Victor Ochule” has warned Nigerian youths against vandalism and looting of private establishments using COVID-19 palliative search as an excuse across the country.
He made this known through a post, he further warned that the after effect of this will only compound Nigeria’s already huge unemployment woes.
In the post, he said,
“To add a little point to it, I’ve learnt of some persons who own private establishments that were attacked and ransacked recently. Not only have they laboured tirelessly to get their organisations where it is today, they are also employers of labour for many persons whose sources of livelihood is under threat at the moment. Any result of loss of jobs resulting from this would only compound our already huge unemployment woes. It implies that in our quest to vent our frustrations at the Government, we are also hurting a part of us. May we apply some sanity and reasoning to it less we rubbish our determination for good governance”
According to Victor, there’s no justification whatsover which will lead people to invading into private persons properties or warehouses, looting their reserves gotten from years of hard earned investments, struggles, labour and sleepless nights. It is evil intended and criminal. Citizens can’t be fighting for good governance and still be involved in such criminal ventures. He further urges citizens to desist from such act as its effects afterwards is very dangerous.
In another post, Victor further warns that breaking into a private persons warehouse is an act of stealing and wickedness. He said people are are working hard with their sweat and struggling to making and people should not inflict more hardships on innocent persons by breaking into their private properties. He also suggests that people’s quest for good leadership should not be ruined by negative tendencies. He said:
“Invading into a private persons warehouse or property is an act of stealing and wickedness. These are people’s hard earned sweat. Don’t inflict more hardship on innocent persons by breaking into their private properties to rob them. Let out quest for good governance not be rubbished by such negative tendencies. Please”
